Other Senior Software Engineer Interview Reviews for Redfin
The recruiters were good and explained the teams process and said they wanted someone to lead the team and work on building up a teams processes but the team interview was 3 sessions two of which were pure algorithms questions and one was a dynamic programming problem. I did ask if this was applicable to their daily work but they said they mainly built and prototyped new product features on the web and yet only session was about product and web related experience and team building and my experience the recruiters said was wanted (and why I took the time to interview l) never really came up.

Overall, I loved the process and team, I actually had a lot of fun in this one. Interview was fair for a Senior level candidate. It was a top two offer for me and only turned it down because my other offer was better aligned with my current career goals. Team has a fantastic engineering culture with clear focus on diversity and inclusion. 10/10 would apply again if the role better fits my goals.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The biggest part of coding is a homework problem around using an API endpoint for foodtrucks data to make some reports.
System design is going to be mostly practical applications for residential real estate.
Object oriented design session will be less focused on real estate more on decisions around how you layout classes, how they interact, and the data structures you use.
