I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Redfin in Aug 2020
Interview
1. Had an HR round for basic questions
2. One hour technical phone interview. Questions were majorly based on my resume and some tech questions
3. Had to complete a take-home assessment within 2 days. For the take-home, I had to build a REST API to get the names of Food trucks in SF.
4. Once you clear all these, they call you for the final interview.
The final interview for me consisted of 5 rounds:
1. Easy/Med LC (Spiral matrix)
2. Walk through of the take-home assessment code. Was also asked to make some changes according to their suggestion.
3. Easy/Med LC (See if a string can be formed from another string (a little complicated than that :p))
4. Complete behavioral round with a PM to check if you are compatible with the team or not.
5. Complete behavioral round with a Manager to check if you are compatible with the team or not.
From my exp, I can say that they focus more on the cultural fit. Tech rounds weren't difficult but they focus on a lot of edge cases. If they feel you would fit in the team, it should be fine.

Very practical interview where they asked the ingesting MLS data points and how do we map it on out system. The interviewer was very kind and if youdont know about specific he will take time to explain.
Got to the first interview and got cut after. Just asked basic behavioral questions. Wasn't too difficult, but there were probably applicants that gave better answers. Interviewer was nice and kind.

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you disagreed with a teammate, and how did you resolve it?
There was a phone screening, then zoom interviews. I was asked behavioral questions, and I did well on it. There were technical rounds, and I passed, standard technical questions. Also spoke to the hiring manager for the skills and cultural fit.
