I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Redfin (Frisco, TX) in Mar 2021
Interview
1. Hiring Manager reached out to discuss role and current personal career path
2. Take home project (2-3 hours)
Recruiter stepped in to schedule the interviews, however other than meeting setup the communication was all from the hiring manager including rejection.
3. 5-panel interview
* Meet with a tech lead, solve a bug
* Meet with QA & shadow, solve a brain puzzle with demonstration of presentation/communication skills
* Meet with product manager and a dev on the team to discuss behaviorals
* Meet with two software devs to solve a code design in OOP (e.g. parking garage, card game, elevator)
* Meet with hiring manager again to discuss behaviorals
The entire process was very laid-back, other than when the engineers during OOP code design heightened it to a serious tone with the general mood of the meeting.
5 panels seemed a bit much, but personally enjoyed meeting everyone since after all you are interviewing them as well. I was given feedback with the rejection and will use it to interview again in the future.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond for the customer
Very practical interview where they asked the ingesting MLS data points and how do we map it on out system. The interviewer was very kind and if youdont know about specific he will take time to explain.
Got to the first interview and got cut after. Just asked basic behavioral questions. Wasn't too difficult, but there were probably applicants that gave better answers. Interviewer was nice and kind.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time where you disagreed with a teammate, and how did you resolve it?
There was a phone screening, then zoom interviews. I was asked behavioral questions, and I did well on it. There were technical rounds, and I passed, standard technical questions. Also spoke to the hiring manager for the skills and cultural fit.
