Interview
Started with online application. Then multiple phone interviews which let to one face-to-face interview. Was offered Associate Agent (1099/contract for event work only, no benefits) position with opportunity to interview for Redfin Agent (salary + event pay + bonuses + benefits + reimbursable business expenses) position in about 2 months. Started as associate agent in late September. Was willing to drive all over Chicagoland to do event work and got great customer reviews. After hiring, all Associate Agents were surveyed & asked if they wanted to interview for Redfin Agent position. I made it clear that I really wanted the opportunity to interview. Face-to-face interviews in early November with Area Manager and two other Team Leaders. Hired on November 30 and started training the next week. Very impressed with Redfin so far. People here really are trying to reinvent real estate in the consumer's favor.

Basic questions, and experience…. She asked me a few questions, then basically tried to figure out if I was a right fit for the job and company. Then I waited for a week and I got the offer!
The interview process was pretty standard. I spoke to a recruiter over the phone and then had to send in a video answering a few questions. I was called back within a few days.
It begins with a 30 minute phone call with employee to go over the basics, and have a Q&A. Then there is a follow up call with a manager to go over specifics, followed by an offer package.
