Interview
About a month after I submitted my application, the hiring manager emailed me to set up an interview. The first phone interview went great, and he said he wanted a second interview during which I had to give a 20 minute presentation on a data science topic of my choosing. I spent nearly 8 hours perfecting my presentation and preparing for the hour-long group interview. The technical questions were pretty difficult, but I did very well on the presentation and the banking related questions. At the end of the interview, the hiring manager told me I'd hear whether or not I was progressing to the next round in a week or two. But two days after my interview, I received an automated rejection email. To say that that was unprofessional on the part of HR is an understatement. After nearly 2 hours worth of interviews and putting in 8 (unpaid) hours of my own time on the project they wanted me to complete, HR should have at the very least sent an email from an actual recruiter. Or better yet, given the courtesy of a phone call. But, as a previous Redstone employee, sadly I know all too well how unprofessional their HR department is, so I can't say that I am shocked. But it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and made for a poor candidate experience.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Redstone Federal Credit Union in Apr 2020
Interview
The first interview was a 30 min phone interview with the hiring manager, where they asked general questions about my experience. The interview went well and immediately afterwards I was invited to an on-site interview with HR and the hiring manager where I was asked 5 HR/behavioral type questions. After the interview I received no follow-up or notification that my application was rejected, despite being promised a decision soon and reaching out to them after the interview.
