I was invited for a video interview and logged in five minutes early, at 10:00 am, but no one else joined. After waiting 15 minutes, I reached out to my interviewer via email, text, and phone call, but didn't get a response until a few hours later. They mentioned an unforeseen issue had arisen and asked to reschedule. I agreed, but that was the last communication I received until two days ago. The original interview date was 10/17/2024, and two days ago was 11/8/2024. I got an email thanking me for discussing the position and my qualifications, and informing me they had chosen to pursue other candidates. However, I never had the opportunity to actually discuss anything beyond my resume. While I understand emergencies happen, I was never given the chance to have the interview.
