Filled out an application through their job portal. The questions were pretty standard if not the same as a regular application as the floor staff one. So since I've been working there before the job application it went through pretty fast.

The interview was not hard, was asked pretty average questions. Asked a lot of example questions. Hiring manager did the interview, no second needed. The whole process took about 30 minutes.

Around a month back, I eagerly applied and was quickly invited to interview with the GM at the theater. After our conversation, where we bonded over movies, it was evident that there were significant issues with organization and staff treatment that needed attention. Despite my reservations, I was genuinely excited to step in and make things better. I had a detailed plan ready to tackle the problems and had spent a whole month studying the theater's shortcomings. When the GM offered me the job over the phone, I was over the moon. However, finalizing everything took time. Every week, I had to initiate contact because they struggled to reach my references. I even went ahead and reached out to my references myself, but they hadn't received any communication. After more than a month of waiting, hoping, and being patient, I received a rejection email stating they chose someone else. I reached out to the manager, but my attempts were met with silence. I can't help but feel extremely disappointed. I invested so much time and energy into this, firmly believing I had the job. To say I'm let down is an understatement. This entire experience has been a frustrating rollercoaster, and the lack of communication has only intensified that feeling of disappointment.
