I applied to the job through LinkedIn and was quickly contacted by a recruiter for a phone screen. It went well and the next day I was on the phone with my potential manager. Both phone interviews were professional and well-organized.
kCura invited me for an in-person interview the following week. They explained the format ahead of time: 3 - 4 hours long, with interviews from a panel of team members about skills and experience and how well I fit into the companies core values. The interview went as promised.
The core values interviews were interesting. At the beginning it seemed a bit like feel good corporate voodoo, but as the day progressed I got the honest sense that the interviewers were really interested in who I would be as a future team member.
The skills-based part of the interview took place with my potential member and senior member of my potential team. This was tough, but in a good way. We spent 45 minutes drilling down into my resume and experience. They kept me on my toes and asked concrete questions about how my past work would help the team.
After it was over, I let my recruiter know I was available for follow-up. I got a phone call from her two days later with an offer and an explanation of benefits. From there, the hiring process was efficient and easy to complete.
