The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Relativity Space (Inglewood, CA) in Aug 2018
Interview
Two phone screens and then an onsite. Started the day with a tour of their impressive facilities, including some that aren’t public yet, and then gave a presentation on myself and my work. The presentation was prepped ahead of time, and was fantastic to allow me to show off my unique personality, skills, and experience. The team asked a lot of questions and was engaged. We then broke off into quite a few 1-1 and 2-1 sessions, covering everything from tough judgment calls and decision making under ambiguity to literally drawing an entire strategic roadmap on a whiteboard. There was a special “spark” to everyone I spoke with that day, even random hellos by members passing by from other departments. Very welcoming vibe. It was also clear from every single interaction Relativity’s team is wicked smart across the board, and not just intellectually but with people skills too.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What is the toughest judgment call you’ve ever had to make? How did you balance decision making parameters?
Long interview process and more intense than anticipated. They asked all sorts of questions and required a presentation. However, everyone was very welcoming and the culture seemed great. I would recommend it.
