I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Relativity Space (California City, CA) in Jan 2024
Interview
You start off by getting a a screener, and from my personal experience it took about 2 weeks till I got my technical interview scheduled. I think they are not the best at getting back to you. You almost have to chase them a bit to get your stuff done.

Interview
I had an email describing the role, and then a one-on-one Teams meeting with a whiteboard, where I went deep into my projects and answered technical problems related to solid mechanics, fluids, or thermodynamics.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain the thermodynamic process of evaporating a full glass of water on a stove.

Interview
1 on 1 interview with a lead engineer. Asked in technical depth about projects. Asked to choose two subjects from solids, fluids, thermo, heat transfer to be asked questions on. Be ready to defend your answers with equations and answer why you decided to answer that why.

Question 1
A large basin is filled with water. It leads down to a sealed container. How high will the water in the container get? Another variation where the height difference between the two containers gets smaller. And then another variation where the container volume gets halved.

Interview
very technical interview. I do think it was fair, but I was not expecting the questions to be as fundamental as they were. you really gotta be up on your basic equations.

Question 1
what determines the shape of the temperature profile across the thickness of a wall with given temperature differences?
