Interview
Overall, it was quite strange. The gentleman was very unorthodox and unprofessional in my opinion. I felt uncomfortable with the way he ran the interview...he was was trying to 'sell' me the position with what seemed to be an entertainment act? The man's humor was not amusing, and his lame attempts to get me to open up to him were deceptive and obvious. I knew within ten minutes that this man was not a genuine person interested in my true concerns...I was merely another 'mark' that could be convinced to try the position based on elusive income potential, and a sense of guilt he 'pushed' on me if I didn't at least try "for the sake of my family."

A phone interview was done with HR. It was quick, less than 10 minutes, but addressed the most relevant elements of the job.
A second interview was done in person with the sales manager.
I never received a call back after the interview or a follow up of any kind. I reached out a couple times and never heard anything back. I even sent a follow up email after the interview.

Question 1
Describe a difficult sale you had and how you handled it.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Renewal by Andersen (Des Plaines, IL) in Feb 2025
Interview
This was probably the worst interviewing process I’ve ever had. I spoke to 5 different people for a total of 4 interviews. The last interview was with two people, and it felt more of a drill questionnaire than an actual interview. I didn’t get the next steps until a week later saying that I didn’t get the job via email.
Complete waste of a person’s time interviewing with so many people for a rejection email I would’ve preferred that one of the three recruiters that I did speak to reject me and decide that I wasn’t a fit before i had to drive to Des Plaines and have an interview with two drill sergeants.
Completely unprofessional and a waste of time for a 100% commission job.
