Resource Options interview questions

Had in initial phone interview, they found my resume online and contacted me, it was very short basically talked about my resume and scheduled a time for an in person interview. The following week I went in for an interview met with the VP. It felt like the interview went really well, they asked questions and I asked questions. It like we had made a connection. After the interview they said it would be about a week or 2 when they were finishing interviews and then I would be contacted. A week went by so I emailed asking about the process, was told that they were finishing up interviews and would have an answer the following week. That week went by so I emailed again and got no response. It was very unusual as every other time I got a very prompt response. I understand you probably went with another candidate, but it would have been nice to at least get a follow-up email. It felt unprofessional especially because I was told I would receive a response for the final decision.
