Submitted resume, recruiter called 1 week later. Had half hours talk with recruiter covering the basics. Phone interview w hiring manager set up for a few days later. Talked to HM about the role for 45 minutes. Good discussion; overall got good impression about the manager and company. Panel interview over video set up the following weeks: 4 ppl including HM. Things got weird here. Only one person, another manager, was really asking all the questions for about 20 minutes. Afterwards he asked if I had any questions. I asked a few and that stretched the whole interview to 30 minutes. Felt there were 4 ppl in the room, one interviewing me, the others observing. Anyways figured it was a miss, moved on. Next day recruiting contacted me for references. Submitted my references. 3 days later received call from recruiter telling me another candidate was selected. Really strange process. Don't know what to make of it. At any rate, they were very professional and courteous during the whole process. Seems like a good company with some quirks to iron out.
