Contacted via email and proceeded with a phone interview. Recruiter was nice however cut me off as I was going to ask her a question. She said she had a meeting (totally fine) but it would have been nice if I had the opportunity to ask questions. She did say she wanted me to interview with a colleague that same week. Had the 2nd phone interview and felt it went well especially since recruiter had mentioned next step would be to talk to head of engineering. 2 days later got a decline note saying it was competitive and they were no longer considering me. It was disappointing and unprofessional to give false next steps. Complete turnoff
