Was contacted by a recruiter and had an initial phone screen. Then was scheduled to have another phone screen with the hiring manager. A few days after I was invited for an in-person interview and met with many different individuals.
The job description/position requires you to be very familiar with the SF area. Being extremely knowledgeable about the city, I was questioned and tested about my ability of knowing the town by one of the upper management one of the the co-founders/chief financial officer. He asked what area I resided in and then responded, "Nope. Never heard of it." Throughout the entire interview process, he made me feel super uncomfortable because of the way he interacted with me as a candidate.
To be honest, it felt more of a grilling session rather than a conversational interview - I already felt his unpleasant demeanor. His personality and approach to asking questions turned me off about the company as a whole. I already knew by then that I didn't want to work for the company if I was going to be working under him as a "leader."
