I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Rev (Guelph, ON) in Sep 2018
Interview
Grammar and spelling test, followed by a sample audio transcription, took me less than one hour, though others have stated it took them up to three hours. I filled out the test, did the transcription, and was hired in less than two hours.

Interview
You are in charge of your own interview. You go through a short training of how to transcribe or caption, and then you are provided with a sample video/audio to transcribe or caption. Once you submit you receive an email confirming that they received your application and they will let you know within 7 days whether you are accepted or not. You start off as a "Rookie Revver" and depending on how well you do, you then get promoted to Revver.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Rev (Lincoln, IL) in Aug 2016
Interview
It’s been a year since I applied but this is what I recall: when you apply for Captioning you are asked for a sample of your writing (they give you a topic) and are given a brief tutorial with video examples of what a Revver does. Then you are given a test video to caption. If you make it through that, you are given an additional test video. If you pass that, you wait to hear back from management via email about the next steps to start. There is no spoken interview, just the process I mentioned above.
