I had to take a short test, which assessed grammatical and writing skills. I also had to caption three sample videos, using their style guide, to evaluate how well I could follow their captioning guidelines. They provide a tutorial video to demonstrate how to use the captioning software, as well as a searchable style guide, which elaborates on their expectations when captioning. It was a little tedious to have to complete this process, but it's understandable, as they have fairly high expectations for captioning in order to keep their customers happy. The entire process took 3-4 days.
