Very disorganized, very inconsiderate, very unprofessional.
The recruiter emailed me first, saying he'd like to setup a quick call. I agreed, and we had a 30 minute call. I was supposedly one of the better candidates for the role and he'd set me up with an interview with the hiring manager.
The few questions I did ask of him he gave the most generic answers ever. "Why do you like working for Revalize?" He replies "I really like it because it's remote." Geez, thank you for the insightful response! It's 2022--most office jobs can be remote and that isn't a valid reason to prefer a company when EVERY COMPANY offers that.... I didn't ask him too many more questions because clearly it was a waste of my time. I come to an interview prepared, the recruiter just sits there. This is a tech company, not a fast food drive thru, have a little more enthusiasm!
A couple days go by and nothing. Then a call from a number I had no knowledge of, let it go to voicemail. It was the recruiter, asking me to call back to discuss the position.
I called back, no response. He calls me back within half a minute. He says that I won't be moving forward and he'll keep me in mind for future positions. I said great, thanks.
Then he calls me back a few hours later, doesn't leave a voicemail.
He calls me back again the following week, leaves a voicemail saying how he wants to setup an interview with the hiring manager for the role. The same role he told me a week ago I was no longer in the running for.
It all started with an email, and then it's been a series of phone calls contradicting himself and borderline scamming me.
During all of this time, he sends me an aptitude assessment and a personality assessment. And then during the initial interview he had me do another aptitude assessment during the interview in front of him. It was the same exact test, same questions.
This was a $100,000+ job asking for 5+ years of experience, and they're having me take a test to see if I can tell them the next shape in the pattern, and if I can do basic math. Yes, I've made it 5-10 years into my career so far, advancing roles and responsibilities, and I can't do basic math??? Give me a break, such an ignorant process! And I'm sure that I would need to determine the next shape in a pattern to excel at this role...???
Do yourself a favor--don't get involved with this company! If they aren't willing to treat potential employees with MINIMAL respect, why would they treat current employees with respect? If they are incapable of
