Phone screen w HR then phone interview with director then a face to face with VP and Director. Director sounded really nice over the phone & turned Jekyll & Hyde during the face to face. Asked what I would do about a situation and I responded based on experience. Director replied very rudely that "they are not (insert large company #1 I've worked for in past) or (insert large company #2 I've worked for in past)" and that they wouldn't have those resources. Uhmmm did you read my job history on my resume that I submitted? All the companies I've worked for were large companies and I said my reason for looking was to go to a smaller one!?!
Also, I was asked to complete a project before coming in using Trello. I felt like they were using these interviews to take advantage of applicants' ideas to jumpstart a dying product.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ReverbNation in Jan 2013
Interview
Performed phone interview with recruiter and they were going to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. Unfortunately, after waiting a while to get a notice about the next steps I received notice that they hired someone else. The company seemed progressive and interesting to work for. In particular the product manager position seemed very independent.
