Interview
A recruiter at Revolut approached me on Linkedin. She said that my profile seemed like a good match for a role they were recruiting for and invited me to an initial chat with a recruitment team lead.
The conversation with this person lasted 1/2 hour. It seemed like he had a script in front of him. The speed at which he spoke was overwhelming. I couldn't understand him and had to interrupt him occasionally to clarify. When I spoke about my experience he didn't seem to listen. It was evident that he was reading through other stuff on his computer.
He said that there were two roles available and that they would assess whether my profile could match one or the other in the next interview with a Head of HR. They would also be the right person to explain the differences between the two roles in further detail, i.e., he wasn't able to.
A couple of days later I receive a generic email telling me that my profile wasn't a match for what they were looking for. This paragraph made me laugh:
At Revolut, we want to make sure that we set you up with a role that is right for you, your profile, and our teams. I hope that the feedback I was able to give you helped you to understand what we are looking for. What feedback is that? And no, I didn't understand what you are looking for. You didn't seem to understand it yourself. I replied to that email asking for specific details. Let's see if someone answers me.
They also encouraged me to apply for other roles that might be more relevant to my background. Seriously?
Revolut, you need to stop wasting people's time. Decide what it is you need, make sure that your recruiters understand it, and only approach people after that is clear.

Why are you interested in Revolut? You approached me, remember? This question could have been formulated differently. Stop following scripts and have real conversations with people.
