Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on the interview process. I am sorry that you did not enjoy all of the interviews, including the ones with the Hiring Manager (that’s me). During the interview process, for the HR roles we have been hiring in the US, I was keen to outline that 2017 will be a big year for us and that there was a range of objectives that we would be hoping to achieve and aspire too. We pride ourselves on having open and honest communications on what we are doing and what challenges we face, I wanted to be really clear on the size of the role, I’m sorry that came across like I was trying to catch you out, that certainly wasn’t my intention.
As you said, rather than referring to ‘a lot of work needing to be done really fast’, perhaps a better way of talking about it would’ve been to refer to one of our core values; “Work Hard”. We say in our culture book that to us this means:
“RG people work hard because they love what they do and get a real buzz from delivering to high standards. They live on the edge of their comfort zone, working with a strong sense of urgency and purpose.
They are busy and under pressure, but they are rarely stressed because they’re in control and they have chosen a fast paced ride. They thrive on challenge.”
We always try to bring this into our interview process to make sure that candidates understand we set really high standards for ourselves as well as having a really great time at work and all the fun stuff.
We pride ourselves on teamwork in all parts of the business, and especially in the HR team, and this would have been provided to any candidate who was successful. So sorry that you did not find all the interviews friendly, but overall thank you for telling us (me) as we can only improve when we get really useful feedback. Thank you for the postive feedback on our Senior Recruiter and HR Manager.
Please get in touch if there’s anything else we can do to clarify or answer your feedback.
