The initial interview was to be a conference call including myself, and four of the local managers. I called in five minutes early and was joined by one manager on time. Three of the other managers never showed up even though it was made clear that they confirmed the conference call date and time. The one interviewer that was present went on to go over the job description and desperately tried to contact the other managers for their participation, but after 30 minutes there was no success. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I offered to reschedule and the sole interviewer agreed. The following day I followed up with the only manager that was present for the interview via email to find out if they had the chance to reschedule and received no response for five days, after which, I received an email stating the newly added position has been put on hold. The interviewer did not respond personally or in a timely manner. Overall, based on my experience, I would say they are unprofessional and don't take other's time seriously. This said a lot about their culture and made it clear that it's no place for me to work. I would approach employment with Covanta in south Florida with caution based on the manager's lack of communication.
