Ringcentral's talent acquisition manager found me on LinkedIn and contacted me to gauge my interest in an Enterprise Sales role on the East Coast (USA). Scheduled a phone interview. Good discussion, appeared impressed w/ my background and numerous sales achievement awards. He committed to scheduling a meeting between me and the hiring manager after I provided my resume and a few available times to discuss the opportunity the following week.
I provided the requested info. Radio Silence. I followed up twice. No response.
Don't ignore qualified candidates that take time, at YOUR request, to discuss your company's open positions. No courtesy and complete disrespect. The best recruiters provide constructive feedback and honor their commitments. Average recruiters send brief messages indicating they're pursuing other candidates. Poor recruiters don't bother following up. Reputation must mean nothing to them. Word gets around.
