Worst interview experience ever. First Round: Interviewer asks DS/Algo question. I started explaining approach and time complexities. After writing code, the test case failed (thanks to a lot of nitpicking). Suddenly interviewer asks me 'Why are you taking it personally when I ask you questions?'.
I was totally stumped as to where this question was coming from. Please be careful not to think out loud in front of these interviewers as they can get hurt due to god knows what reason.
I still kept calm and tried to avoid conflict. But he was nitpicking things at every thing that I was doing. "Why are you commenting this code, why not just change method name". What kind of question is that to ask in a DS/Algo round? I had to ask him later if he was having a bad day. He got more angry once I asked this - which was expected as by that time I had made up my mind not to work with these guys.
Having interviewed a lot of candidates myself and given a lot of interviews, I can say that this was the worst interview experience of my entire career.
We do set the bar high from a technical standpoint, but we also pride ourselves on professionalism. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experience. We will share your feedback internally and use it to improve moving forward.

Interview
I interviewed for the Senior Software Engineer position at RingCentral. The interview was of medium difficulty, but I found the process to be somewhat unprofessional. There were a total of four rounds of interviews. Unexpectedly, a hiring manager round was scheduled without any prior notice or consideration of my availability. Despite completing all rounds, I never received any feedback on the outcome. Each time I attempted to follow up with the HR representative, I encountered delays and procrastination.
