I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Robert Half (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2017
Interview
I was asked to come into their office for the initial meeting with the recruiter, as I wanted to secure a permanent role or a contract role as an Office Manager. The recruiter was initially cordial, but over time it was evident that she had absolutely no respect for me. Throughout the meeting, she was very pushy, intimidating, asked very personal questions, and made me feel like I was too stupid and incapable and that she was doing me a huge favor by even considering me for one particular role. Talking to your candidates like they are yesterday's trash, never following up with them and never keep them in the loop, and intimidating them with aggressive sales tactics will not get you anywhere. Do not put your candidates down. The firm's recruiting professionals prey on those who are looking for jobs and security, and twist their arms into agreeing to be one of their many "options" for their client firms to choose from. Don't be a lamb sent to slaughter. Do your research. Be diligent but also vigilant. Trust your instincts. If they don't treat you with respect, and they lie or conceal the facts, they don't deserve your respect or your profile. Take your resume elsewhere.

Question 1
What are you looking for in your next role? How much money did you make at your last job? How were your relationships like with your reporting managers?
It was quick, and they were really good with helping me find a job. They set me up with a good number of interviews. They were a hit or miss. I had one interview with one of their clients that wanted to put me through the next steps. However, when I asked Robert Half if they heard back from them, they said that they decided to proceed with a different candidate. It took them 2 weeks to let me know about it. And then they eventually stopped reaching out to me.
My interview to work a contractor was via a zoom call. I was asked professional questions in an efficient manner by a smart, amiable recruiter. I could tell this would be a great working relationship.

Interview
The interview was on Google duo with an interviewer that was not ready for the interview. The interviewer was looking at the wrong resume and was sawing that I had gone to a different school than I had gone.
