Introduce yourself.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Robinhood (Menlo Park, CA) in Aug 2019
Interview
Phone call with the hiring manager, followed by a take-home modeling exercise, and then an on-site full day interview.
The interview process was run excellently, and I felt supported and in active communication with the recruiting team the entire time.
It was frustrating that, during the compensation negotiation upon receiving the offer, the recruiter kept telling me that my counters would have to be taken back and reviewed by a compensation committee - which would be another 1-2 days. Similar negotiations with other companies were a lot simpler and more direct, as recruiters were given the ability to discuss and negotiate compensation packages with candidates.
