Applied online, was contacted after 2weeks via email requesting initial phone screen. Initial phone screen was 30-45min going over my resume and asking general questions regarding my knowledge of the company, why I want to work there, and salary requirements. The conversation went well and the following week was invited to an in person 90min interview with 3 different people. One was who I spoke to by phone, and 2 other seemingly senior managers. The first interviewer told me about the company and asked if I had any questions but did not really interview me. He was extremely casual and used some profanity in his discussion. The second interviewer came in with their phone and proceeded to walk me through the app and test me on it's functions, order types, ticker search function and ask me questions about how I would handle irate users calling in who do not understand the stock market and want to know why the trade ended up executing for more than quoted or why the value of their account dropped causing a margin call. The vast majority of their users have no clue what they are doing and the app provides no education like other services do. After the app walk through test the next interviewer came in and asked more questions related to the handling of client issues and gave 2 stock scenarios and asked whether I would buy or sell in the event of a market decline which is unusual considering the position they're interviewing for and the fact that the company does not offer investment advice. Overall, the interview went well but too soon to know if there will be an offer.
