Applied via job board, recruiter reached out directly.
Had the usual HR phone screen where the process was explained. After that, I received a prep document stating the first-round tech screen might cover React, Javascript, HTML, CSS, DOM, and that it would not be algorithmic in nature.
However, the actual interview did not include React at all. Instead, it focused on vanilla JavaScript with an emphasis on more algorithmic and core JS concepts: setTimeout, throttling, batching, bundling, and working with promises. (There was an event listener thrown in--the closest it got to what the prep doc described)
I did not progress beyond this stage.
