I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Robinhood in Aug 2025
Interview
Definitely unorganized. Interviewers themselves were great, very friendly and helpful. Did not look down on you and were very helpful and genuinely learned some things during the interview process.
Recruiting on the other hand is a mess. Not very responsive and scheduling was awful. After the technical screening did not get a response for a week which is standard to be fair. However, once I followed up was not given any availability and was scheduled for the virtual onsite 2 days later. The onsite was also split with 1 round on one day and 2 rounds the next. The 3rd round on the second day was then cancelled and rescheduled, which I did get availability for this time, and they scheduled me a week later. Then 2 days before the rescheduled interview I was notified that they are not moving forward and the last interview was cancelled, so in what was supposed to be a virtual onsite of 3 rounds in 1 day I had it spread out over 2 weeks and only got to do 2 rounds of it.
On top of that the coding round for the onsite was the exact same question as the technical screening. The interviewer also seemed unsure at what question to ask.
Other Software Engineer Interview Reviews for Robinhood
Had the OA which was 4 questions. The interesting part was that each question had a separate time limit, rather than the typical 1 hour total for all 4 questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
First question was some basic string manipulation.
Don't remember the 2nd question.
3rd was some implementation stuff.
4th is algorithmic.
Regular interview process with technical screen then three rounds coding, system design, and project deep dive. Questions are average difficulty on leetcode, would definitely prepare for both coding and system design.

Question 1
don't remember exactly the question but graph related?
The recruiter said I passed all the interviews, takes me to HM round, says I did great and then tells me can't push out an offer quickly so would keep me under consideration for 6-8 months, like wtf?
