I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Roblox (San Mateo, CA) in Dec 2021
Interview
Final Round : Design questions related to my resume and a contrived coding screen via coderpad.
The design questions went well although one of the interviewers seemed to not answer my initial question on requirements for one problem, so led me down the wrong direction but I course corrected.
The coding round was one of the worst I've ever experienced. The question would have been easy had the interviewer not talked over me and sighed the entire time. 5 minutes into the call as I was talking through my solution before coding, he said essentially that I should stop talking and start coding. Shocked I went with the simple naive solution per his instructions and failed some cases at the end. I believe the interviewer didn't even know the language I was interviewing in which was disappointing as it's the most used language in the industry. I found out later he was a PM which is disturbing that they couldn't find a software engineer to interview me.

Question 1
Final Round : Design questions related to my resume and a contrived coding screen via coderpad.
Took an OA. Pretty difficult leetcode style questions and some games (Roblox games and psychology based games to determine personality traits). I did not get through the initial online assessment.
One standard hr phone call then one 60 min phone screen. Nothing out of the ordinary. Phone screen was done on codesignal where you could see code compile and run
Interview consisted of two leetcode style questions and two "games" that tested problem solving and optimization. Coding questions were of medium/hard difficulty. The games were difficult as the instructions given were terrible and unintuitive.
