I applied online for the Technology Internship Program in early January 2017. I received a call a week later to schedule my first interview. In total, they had 3 rounds. The first two rounds are phone interviews, and the third is in person. I did not make it to the final round. Everything happened a week apart. (1. call to schedule first interview. 2 first interview. 3. call to schedule 2nd interview. 4. 2nd interview. 5. call to say they were moving forward with other candidates) Interview 1: Behavioral Based Questions This phone interview was with a recruiter. He asked generic behavioral based interview questions. This interview was very easy and took around 20 minutes. -Why do you want to work for Quicken Loans? -Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years? -What's a mistake you've made? -Tell me about a challenge you've faced and how you overcame it -Tell me about a time you had difficulties working on a team -etc. -Also asked me what Excel functions I knew how to use Interview 2: Technical and Behavioral Based Questions This was with a recruiter for the team I was applying to intern for. He asked me what I talked about in my last interview, then some additional behavior based questions, and also some technical questions. The technical questions were mostly about my experience and what I knew, nothing very specific. He basically looked at the skills on my resume and said "Oh, I see that you know how to use R. Can you tell me a little about that?" Nothing like "read this line of code and tell me what it will do." This interview was again pretty straight forward, just be honest about what you know. -Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years? -Why should we hire hire you and not someone else? -Which specific aspect of the Technology Internship interested me the most? I said business analytics, data analytics, and database administration.
