I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Rocket (Detroit, MI) in Aug 2018
Interview
The interview is a 15 minute phone screening. Mostly background and behavioral questions in mind. The interview is VERY scripted.
I literally JUST had the interview.
The recruiter asked, "How much were you being paid at your last internship?" to which I responded, "$20 an hour."
The recruiter paused, and then laughed at me. "Okay. Yeah, we only pay interns $11 an hour. There is a possibility however to make more. Are you okay with that?"
We concluded the interview, and that enough was enough to make me decide I don't want to intern there period-the unprofessionalism, and feeling mocked.
