I first applied through my graduating college university's career builder website and received a call that very same day. I scheduled the interview for the following week, located at their office in Detroit, Michigan. My first interview , a 1-on-1, face-to-face, was with a member of their human resources recruiting team. The first interview consisted of the typical scenario questions, along with general questions about myself. For example, "Tell me about yourself?" "Explain an issue or situation where you didn't agree with a particular rule or code of conduct enforced by management and what you did to resolve that issue." I played "phone-tag" with that same interviewer to set up a 2nd interview, located in the same office, only this interview was a 1-on-1, face-to-face, interview with the director of the mortgage banker division and made strong attempts to be as intimidating as possible regarding to the level of difficulty of the job position. This interviewer was very cocky, to say the least, but repeatedly stated he was "very confident in what he does," and being confident was a must if you were going to be successful in the job position, in which I very much agree. The work environment was very loud, in a good way, and open with other employee's office desks very approachable. The 2nd interview ended with an opportunity to listen and sit next to a current Mortgage Banker converse with a client which I thought was motivating and a good interview experience.
