Applied online, received a call from a Detroit recruiter 2-3 days later, schedule a prescreen interview within the next 3-5 days, questions were straight-forward, only problem, I didn't have prior sales experience where I used metrics or KPIs, although this was supposedly a training program, I did have prior years of customer service and retail experience. The recruiter met with the executives and they decided to not move me to the next step: a formal interview. The negative part was, Quicken Loans is trying to be a 'new age' company focusing on transparency in the hiring process, the recruiter and I played phone tag for 2-3 days, when I finally spoke to her, she told me I was not selected to move on. You have no idea how that made me feel, I had hope until it was taken from me, who wants to chase a rejection response? In the future, please just send the rejection email, it saves the candidate from embarrassment as I know she could hear the life and joy leave my body after she told me and it's waste of time. Please consider the candidate's feelings, but yourself in their shoes.
