      Interview

Very long and detailed interview process. First I applied for one job, and a recruiter called me to describe some other positions that seemed less-aligned with my interests and skills. Then, I had multiple more talks with the recruiter, then an official phone interview with the department supervisor I was applying to, and then within a couple days I think I received an offer. Then, I went through a long process of several calls talking to another HR person who was doing my background check. They wanted to know EVERY job I’ve ever done, including random part-time high school jobs. I forgot one of those and the HR person called me to ask about it and I had to explain why I forgot to put this part-time job from almost 10 years ago on my application. So just be very detailed when filling out your application and it should be a quicker, smoother process. Also be stern when advocating for the position you want, don’t let them push you into another position that’s desperate for people with lower pay.

      Question 1

Why do you want to work here? What are your future career goals?
      Answer question

      Interview

After applying for one position, I received a call from a recruiter who talked me into applying to a different position. This recruiter walked me through the process and coordinated all future interviews for me. I then had a 20 minute formal phone interview with my potential supervisor. Shortly after that phone interview, the recruiter called me to ask me how it went, and i think that i was offered the position that day. After that, there was a week or 2 of another recruiter calling me to get background check information correct, which seemed tedious, but i appreciated how commutative and transparent that the process was. Also, i applied for the job while living out of state, and the recruiter and supervisor were very accommodating and flexible throughout the process.
