I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rocket (Detroit, MI) in Feb 2016
Interview
You will do a total of 3 interviews. The first interview was phone with a recruiter. During this interview you are going to mainly be asked about your resume, past jobs and what you did there on a day to day basis. Be ready to show them that what you did before has prepared you to do well as a banker for their company. At the end of this interview they will hopefully ask you to do a credit check to make sure that you are eligible to get licensed and if everything pans out with that, you will be called by a mortgage recruiter to set up an in person interview within 48 hours. On this in person interview they are again going to ask you about your resume, why you left your previous positions, why you are interested in becoming a banker at Quicken and go over the experience you have. They will ask you other questions such as "What is the toughest thing (besides a death of someone close to you) that you had to go through and how did you get through it?", "What is one thing that your previous employers would said you could have improved and how could you improve it?" and "What is your greatest weakness besides being too nice and working too hard." At the end of this interview they ask you to do a mock sales call. You will get information on one of their companies and 5 minutes to look it over - if you have sales experience or experience talking over the phone, this is your time to prove it. Relax and read the bullets of information you were given, it's all there. After you end your second interview they will call you in 72 hours and schedule for you to meet with a director or RVP for your third and final interview. I met with an RVP in his office on one of the banking floors. This was my first chance to get to see everyone doing what I was interviewing for. My third interview was mostly going over what we did on the second interview and we talked about why I truly wanted to be a part of Quicken Loans. After we talked, he let me shadow a Senior Mortgage Banker and listen in on a call. Before I left I also got asked by a director to send an email telling him why I would be a good fit and leave him a voicemail trying to get him to return the call. My advice for someone who gets this task is to do it within an hour of you leaving. They are all about urgency.

Question 1
What is a situation you found yourself in where you had to think independently.
3 rounds. First HR eventually a VP. All over the phone or video. Looking for outgoing sales people. They won’t say anything negative about the company. It seems very fake.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you convinced someone to do what they didn’t want to do?
Super easy! They will hire anyone with a pulse. You will talk to the recruiter first, and then a series of 2-3 more people. When I interviewed they didn’t even send me to the regional, they just hired me.
