We believe that asking you to send us an email to affirm your interest in the position has led to a misunderstanding between the involved parties, since a second interview very often takes place upon which decisions in regards to the applicants are taken. It is very unfortunate that you had a different expectation after the first interview. We have decided to dismiss the requested email from now on and to be even more concise in our communication. When inviting applicants for an interview we fully reimburse travel expenses up to the amount that corresponds to a 2nd class return-trip journey using public transportation. Of course, we inform everyone ahead that also accommodation costs are reimbursed after an agreement has been reached with us previously to the interview.
