Process was structured in line with company policy all wording of role matched my experience and there was a clear need to find a replacement. The "interview" was the form of a discussion telling me that I was not suitable for the role. I was given no opportunity to show in a formal situation what I could add to the company. It became very clear once an individual was appointed that they had little experience of the role or background in the area and so an interview situation would not have made them stand out as the best candidate.
