I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Rolls-Royce (Derby, England) in Dec 2016
Interview
After online application, I went through three online assessments. Once the assessments are successful, I was invited to the assessment center in Derby that includes a personal interview, a group interview, a numerical test, a technical interview.
The personal interview starts with a ten min self presentation and then a couple of non-technical questions.
The group interview involved achieving a goal in a small project together and ended with a short presentation of my team's work.
The numerical test is in the same form as the one in online assessment.
The technical interview started with basic engineering concepts (structure, aerodynamics, power and propulsion, etc.).
1, online assessment; 2, CV review; 3, Assessment centre, involving individual interview then technical interview and lastly group exercise at the end 4, you get an offer with 50/50 chance
Rigorous, intense, a full day affair. Split into a morning and afternoon session. There was a group exercise and lots of mingling required at lunch time. Had a tour of the facilities as well which was fun. Was very competitive and there were definitely people there who had applied before and were there for a seond time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is your favourite area of mechanical engineering?
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Rolls-Royce (Johor Bahru) in Apr 2017
Interview
It was a relatively short interview with them asking competency based questions. Application process was quick and they had a short introductory session before the interview. It was not a vert stringent process.
