The hiring manager made an effort to post the job I applied for on many different channels, including a Facebook job group called HireClub, which is where I found the role. I replied to the manager via email and he responded to me immediately and set up time right away to talk on the phone. It was not a typical sterile interview and I think both sides had an opportunity to see a more unscripted side of the other and figure out if there was a good culture fit. At the end of the call, I let him know that I was far along with several other companies so he made an effort to schedule my in-person interview as soon as possible. I interviewed with several different function team members who I'd be supporting and got a good cross-functional view of the company. The team was keen on making sure there was a good culture fit and that I would be challenged in the role. I also really appreciated that they valued my experience and were willing to upgrade the title and pay from the original posting.
