The interview process was drawn out, no urgency to hire. I had a preliminary phone screen then an interview with two members of the team. I did not hear back for about a week a half, when I was told that the interview process would be getting put on hold until after the first of the year (understandable with individuals out of office for the holidays), but that my application was still open for consideration. I was appreciative to receive a call from the talent acquisition team member to give me a heads up about this. A little more than a week after the New Year I received a generic email from Ropes stating I was no longer a candidate for the role. Everyone during the interview process was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. I do think the process could be improved to allow candidates a better understanding of where they are in the process and whether they are still being considered. I was told that there would likely be one or two more rounds of interviews, however from application submission to emailing stating I was no longer being considered was a rather long period of time.
