I applied online, and got a call for an interview the next day. I went the next morning, dressed appropriately. I arrived and realized it was a group interview with about 11 other people. The manager explained to us what it was an associate did and how much they paid. We then got asked 3 simple questions and everyone took turns answering. 1) what's your availability? 2) whats one word you'd used to describe yourself? 3) describe yourself in more detail? Then that was it. She pulled a couple of us aside (me being one of them) and told us we practically had the job but to wait for our background check results before we actually proceeded. She said it would be 1 week before we got emailed our results along with start date. A week passed, I got nothing. I called the store myself and asked manager if she had my results.. In less than 15 seconds she said nope and to wait it out. 3 weeks later I called (today) because I never received an email and was nervous something went wrong (I had nothing to worry about my bg check so what was going on?) I got transferred like 3 times to finally get an answer which was "We aren't hiring." WHAT WAS THE POINT THEN? I turned down another job offer because they had told me I got the position here and then they tell me this? I'm in a horrible financial situation right now. Thanks Ross -.-
