Found the position on the internet. I applied for it and had a phone interview. It was relatively straight forward. They told me about the position, and asked me about the work I had done, and they (the hiring managers, both engineers) seem fairly impressed. A day later, they told me I didn't get it. But then about a month later, they called me again, and asked me to drive 3 hrs for the on site interview at their regional facility. But once I reached there, they seemed to have forgotten they had an interview scheduled and the manager came in about half an hour late. They asked me some irrelevant questions and hem and hawed about whether I would be a good fit. And in a matter of 20 mins, the interview was done because they has "another meeting", which I think was an excuse to end the interview. I think in their mind they decided they didn't want me. I felt if they wanted they could have asked me some of the questions on the phone instead of having me drive 3 hours and spend all that money on gas and dry cleaning my suit. In my opinion, this was very rude on their end. Needless to say, they never bothered to tell me I didn't get the job.
