After completing an interview and case study with a panel, I was verbally accepted for a position and they called me the following day right away. The HR seemed very excited about me joining the group and sais that she'll send the contract in the upcoming days. However, despite multiple follow-up emails from me, the HR never sent the contract as promised and eventually ghosted me. What made the experience worse was her lack of courage to explain if the position had been frozen or if something had changed. Instead, she ignored my emails and did not answer my calls, and would only send occasional text messages promising to send the contract the next weeks of sure. This lasted for 2 months and didn't get the contract yet. Though, I have all the proofs and emails that I was accepted for the job and that she's preparing the contract from her side. This unprofessional behavior in dealing with candidates left a negative impression on me and made me question the company's values. While I appreciated the company's commitment to animal welfare and creating high-quality pet food, the HR department's actions were unacceptable. (by the way, she was an HR for the group Mars)
