I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RubinBrown (Denver, CO) in Sep 2014
Interview
I had a great experience while interviewing with RubinBrown. They worked with my schedule and were very helpful throughout the entire interviewing process. I interviewed through my school in Denver, CO. It ended up being a total of two total interviews with three different people. I was never really asked any STAR based questions. All of my interviews were very conversational. They asked me to describe myself, why I chose accounting, why I chose RubinBrown and other interest based questions. The communication between the interviews was also very refreshing. I was never confused on the status of my interviewing situation. RubinBrown really cared about the interview process and I always felt like I was being sought out rather than the other way around. I also interviewed with many other accounting firms and I ended up choosing RubinBrown over some other very prestigious firms because of the experience I had with the firm throughout my interview process.
I chose "very easy" for the interview difficulty only because I felt like RubinBrown made it very easy based solely on their enthusiasm throughout the entire process.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RubinBrown (Saint Louis, MO) in Oct 2018
Interview
I participated in a 30 minute on campus interview. Questions were all pretty standard, nothing out of the ordinary. The interview was more of a conversation, rather than strict question and answer. I received a second interview at the STL office and spoke with a manager and staff. Staff put you on the spot with more complicated questions. Overall enjoyed the process and the interviews.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at RubinBrown (Saint Louis, MO) in Oct 2017
Interview
It was a straightforward process. I met them at the career fair and they encouraged me to apply for on-campus interview. I applied and they set a date, after the on-campus interview, they invited me to the office to interview with a Manager and Staff member. They were pretty laid back with their questions, they just wanted to know more about you and see if you would be a good fit.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RubinBrown (Saint Louis, MO) in Oct 2017
Interview
I initially did a 30 minute informational interview which was held on my college campus. My interviewer was very pleasant. I received word that I would have an interview in the office about a week later. The in-office interview consisted of me first meeting with HR and then interviewing with two other associates separately. The first gentleman I interviewed with came across as very nonchalant and uninterested in what I had to say. It was more like a conversation than an interview. I sent him a thank-you e-mail after the interview and he didn't even respond. The second associate I interviewed with was a younger female and she was very pleasant. She actually used a typical interview format. I received word the next week that I did not get the position.
