I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Berlin) in Dec 2025
Interview
The technical interview was not a personal interview but in a group, which made the whole process uncomfortable and feel disrespectful. The other candidates were late to the meeting which made me wait there awkwardly for 10-15 minutes extra. The assignment was given to us via email but the first PDF page stated at the end of the explanation "good luck" so I started coding, without seeing there are several other pages with iterations of more tasks.
When I did not pass and asked why they said I did correctly the first 2 tasks but ignored 3 &4. Later double checking I saw there were more pages to the PDF file they shared. I reached out and was given "another shot" but that time they decided instead to give me a leetcode group Anagrams question which I was not prepared for, seeing the first task was building a game I did not prepare for leetcode.
the process is quick and they provide timely updates, 1 HR, 2 technical and 1 Manager. Monitoring Distributed Applications: Tools like Jaeger, Prometheus, and Checkmk (as you're configuring) track metrics across systems to identify network or application issues.
Load Balancers and Proxies: Services like NGINX or HAProxy help distribute traffic to backend servers, ensuring high availability.
Container Networking: Kubernetes uses overlay networks (e.g., Flannel, Calico) to connect distributed containers.
