SAP Labs' Hiring Process: A Silent Gatekeeping Tactic That HR Must Investigate
I recently interviewed for SAP Labs’ Senior Business Processes Consultant (T3) role (Job Number - 418309). After clearing the first round, I was suddenly told in the second round that my profile was moved to a lower-level T2 role (398450)—without discussion or explanation. The T2 role had nothing to do with consulting, yet I was still interviewed under the T3 job number. Worse, both rounds were conducted by T3 peers, not actual decision-makers. This wasn’t a hiring process—it was blatant gatekeeping, quietly pushing me into a lower role while pretending to assess me for T3. Why mislead candidates if the decision is already made?
