HR rep was kind. She told me about position, asked preliminary questions about past experience and relocation, before telling me she’d forward me to the manager for review. Within 15 minutes, she called me back and said the manager thought I was a “flight risk” simply because I did similar work in a different industry. She was very kind to me, but I’m glad it stopped there. I would never want to work under someone who made such preconceptions prior to even a screening call. I feel there is a deep rooted cultural problem if people handle their process in that way
