The first step was an HR screening call. The HR rep did not call me at the scheduled time or respond to my emails in the hours following the missed meeting time. The HR rep called past standard 9-5 work hours later that evening, asking if now was a good time to discuss the role. As an eager applicant, I obliged. There was no apology or explanation for why the call never took place at the scheduled time earlier that day. The next stage was an asynchronous recorded interview on Sparkhire that had to be submitted within 48 hours, where I had to answer six basic questions on camera. The questions were provided to me beforehand, so I had plenty of time to prepare my answers before initiating the interview. Somehow, I still did not proceed past this stage despite putting in a fair amount of time and effort to provide strong answers. Around a month later, I received a standard canned HR rejection email. No one I contacted afterward with questions or requests for feedback ever responded to my messages.
