I applied online. I interviewed at SG Digital in Jun 2020
Interview
Applied via LinkedIn. Initial call by a "Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist" who seemed friendly but insisted on learning specifics like what salary you're looking for while not even knowing how skilled you are or giving specifics on the open position. Instead of the planned 15 minutes, we spent 45 minutes debating, in a polite manner, whether there is a point for me to declare a desired salary. I finally gave a number and she said she would send me an assignment the next day so that we would proceed to the next stage. She did, I spent 90 minutes on a timed test which I submitted the next working day and for which I never even got a "no thanks" response. So yea, they ghost people who may "speak up". Thanks for wasting my time and making me expect a response for over a week.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
It was a typical Hackerrank exercise with string manipulation and number series quizzes. Just code snippets judging how good you are at simple algorithm problems and math problems. They don't seem to care about software engineering, they probably go after simple developers who "just know the programming language and get stuff implemented".
First approached by HR through a phone call on basic HR interview questions, for example, experience, salary expectations, notice period, etc. The manager conducted a phone interview on basic technical questions, then a face-to-face with a senior developer and the team lead on simple scenario-based design questions.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SG Digital (Melbourne) in Oct 2021
Interview
Applied online, got a phone interview in around 1-2 weeks.
Another follow up online interview within a week after that
- first hour general CV dive
- second hour technical test and discussion about it
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SG Digital in Apr 2021
Interview
Initial interview with HR, which was positive and left a good impression
Technical interview with Software Engineers, which was probably the opposite. I got the impression they weren't 1sy language English, as the questions were, at times, badly phrased or difficult to interpret. The interview didn't seem well planned, nor was there a positive or attractive 'feel', so within a few minutes I felt like it was a bit of a 'battery hen' feel to the company.
